“CES 2008 Day 2 Updates with Photos.

Another good and exciting day at CES 2008 for MoGo and the MoGo Girls. Meetings are continuing to go great and the Mogo girls keep drawing in the people.

Matt Westover finished filming at CNBC for commercial that will air in the next couple weeks. We drew a great crowd presence throughout the hall today, maybe too good as we were asked to quietly leave because the traffic we drew. We kept going strong at the Sands Into tomorrow booth really pressing hard for tomorrow drawing of the limited edition Gold Mogo X54.

Off to the Bluetooth SIG awards.”

MoGo Go Go Girls On The Front Lines of CES!

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008

Just got this awesome little update from the front lines of the CES 2008! Not only is MoGo looking sharp as a product this year, we have some sharp looking spokesmodels as well! Here’s a quick little blurb from our man on the scene Frank DeSanti:

DAY1

First day of CES was a very exciting day. The MoGo Management team were busy all over CES in numerous strategy sessions resulting from our success from 2007. In the afternoon time CNBC, Road to CES filmed the MoGo Team with a guest appearance from the Mogo Go-Go girls. We are expecting coverage on CNBC later this week as a result. We also launched the Go-Go girls initiative today at CES. Our Go-Go girls mission was to educate the masses on what MoGo Mouse is, provide CES promo cards, and overall awareness of what MoGo was right for each attendee. As you can see in some of the pictures there were times where the Go-Go girls stopped all traffic. We are all getting ready for the night time activities, and will carry on the Mogo mission until dawn.”

Now, don’t think that I’d talk about something as rad as the MoGo Go Go Girls and NOT show you the aforementioned photos! Of course I will. Scroll down for more!

CES Opens: The new SuperDuo - Bill Gates and Slash?!

Monday, January 7th, 2008

Last night, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates opened CES with an opening show that was about what we’ve come to expect; it was high energy, humorous, and over the top.

This year, there was also quite a bit of nostalgia. Gates, who no longer works in the trenches at Microsoft, has intimated that this 10th CES may be his last. Rather than rigorous techno-speak, Gates opted to mirror the gee-whiz factor of the CES with a light-hearted and optimistic keynote.

The speech was peppered with video appearances and comedy bits featuring newscaster Brian Williams,  Bob Costas, and  Robbie Bach (Microsoft’s’ head of Entertainment and Devices). One of the highlights was  a satirical ‘Last Day at Microsoft’ video that included a session with Gates and his trainer. Gates also made prankish calls to Hillary Clinton, Al Gore and Barack Obama (the last two didn’t play along).

There were some unveilings - a touch-screen computer that looks like a glass coffee table,  a collaboration for reporting the 2008 Olympics, and something that’s still in R&D,  a personal facial recognition  device.

Facial recognition devices are nothing new, and in fact are a source of high controversy in the US. (Other countries, like Iceland, have implemented them for security & immigration purposes for years).  Gates said his version will also be able to recognize places, which caused the minds of the attendees to whir with possible applications.

Finally, Bach challenged Gates to a duel of Guitar Hero -  the impossibly popular and hard-to-get video game. Bach used a ringer, so Gates said he would too. And onto the stage walked Slash, the Guns N’ Roses guitarist who is the template for a duel opponent in Guitar Hero III. With Gates on the game guitar and Slash on a real thing, the two performed a musical duo.

With nothing to top that, the CES keynote was over and the conference officially begun.

Countdown to CES; 3 more days!

Friday, January 4th, 2008

“Experience the Art of Technology” - that’s the slogan for this year’s Consumer Electronics Show.

Starting Monday, all the electronics you can expect to hit the market in the coming year will be showcased at this world-renowned  convention. For some, the real draw is the emerging technology, for others it is a glimpse into the next generation of gaming.

One of the big controversies now is the future of high-performance DVD’s and their standards. Will Blu-Ray discs reign supreme? Those following the CES will know which way the wind blows first.

Hop a plane to Las Vegas this weekend, and see first-hand how cool the world of electronics is.

Or? Set your browsers to “stun” and boomark CNBC’s CES-devoted web page. They will be updating with news and video from the floor, ready to let us know what’s cooking for tomorrow - and the future beyond.

Get a Sony PS3 for the Holidays? Make it even better with a MoGo!

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

Over at Product-Reviews.net, Daniel decided to review his new MoGo with his Sony PS3 game system.

The result?

Daniel says it worked great.

“While it’s all good that the X54 mouse is sleek and charges in your laptop, what I really loved was being able to connect the mouse via the Bluetooth connection to my Sony PS3″

Daniel goes on to say;

“PS3 console gamers can benefit from this mouse thanks to the easy to set up Bluetooth. It’s simple to use, compact, professional and does the job with ease.”

MoGo and your Game System… Sounds like a great combination!

Countdown to CES; Meet Matt Westover

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

As we get closer to CES, Matt’s been in the news more and more.

This profile was posted last week, and features one of my favorite Matt Westover quotes; ““My life is what I make of it”

Check out this excerpt;

“I grew up with an opportunity, an education and a dream”…  His goals?  To have fun, to have the best team, and to create wealth for the investors and the team.  Matt Westover is the man behind the MoGo Mouse!

The man behind the mouse has a long history of bringing ideas to life. Interested in seeing the Big Guy? Dave Graveline caught him and the original mouse in a pictorial from last year’s CES. Check it out!
