Scrolling without a scroll wheel
by Elizabeth Blair York | May 23rd, 2007Last February, the one & only Carlton Bale took a MoGo mouse on a trip and, like me, wished it had a scroll wheel;
…”here are new and innovative pointing devices that just don’t have room for a scroll wheel. Users are frustrated, everyone complains about it, and there is no apparent solution. Unless you remember Pointix Scroll ++; …. (software that) gave ‘old school mice’ the ability to scroll without one.”
Carlton, being Carlton, has found the old software and tried it out - with great success.
Here is his post with detailed instructions and the software (which is free).
Thanks, Carlton!

i love the mogo mouse. I bought one for myself, and one for my father.
it would be great if you made the center strip (between the buttons) touch sensitive to function as a scroll wheel. It would be the same technology that some of the MP3 players use for navigation. I think the iPod uses synaptix (sp?) as the vendor of the touchpad technology and software.

Though I think it’s properly installed, and for a while worked properly with my HP-branded MOGO mouse, I am now seeing a registration notice - which asks for password, etc.
