Sprint-Nextel To Offer No Contract Unlimited Calling Plans?

How sick of paying early termination fees when you want to switch companies or get a new phone? Yeah, me too, and yeah, join the club.
Apparently, however, that’s a club you might be able to drop out of pretty soon if you’re a Sprint Nextel customer. According to Sprint’s chief executive Gary Forsee, “Sprint is thinking about expanding the test area for an unlimited calling plan that doesn’t require customers to sign a contract. Customers pay a monthly fee for as long as the service is required or affordable. Rivals Leap Wireless and MetroPCS already offer commitment free unlimited calling plans.” Wow, how cool would THAT be?!
What I wonder, is how many customers that are, rightfully, shy about signing 12 to 24 month contracts would absolutely jump at this prospect. Whether or not this is a gimmick remains to be seen, but I guess time will tell.

I would get on it in a second! However if you check this out it is under the Boost Brand call Boost Unlimited and its only a regional service meaning that you can only use it in like the Dallas Fort Worth area, so if you leave that area no service!

Uh huh…. Right. I won’t hold my breath… i have sprint pcs now & i have to check my bill for strange charges… I wish i could cut the monkey (sprint) off my back ASAP, however, there will be a catch to this… trust me. Enter at your own risk. Sign me, “Doubtful”.

I just trust sprint nextel to know what is best for Sprint Nextel! Sprint Nextel is just wanting to become a Boost type of company since that is what is making them money. The Boost side is the only part of the company that is gaining customers. However if I get a boost phone then i use the minutes and dont put more on for several months and then but some back on then boost counts me as a new customer.
