MoGo Fan Post WITH Unboxing Photos

by Tyler Knott Gregson | March 25th, 2008

Lets face it, if you’re a geek like my esteemed co-writer of this blog and I are, you probably get excited anytime anyone, anywhere posts photos of their unboxing of a new product.  Right?  Tell me it’s not just me.  That said, I just so happened to stumble upon a post over at Swedish Tech Report fresh from their unboxing of their new MoGo Mouse x54!

The bottom line is, they LOVE it.  How can they not?  Here’s a snippet of what they had to say about the ol x54:

“My first thought when starting to use it was this might be alittle akward, but I was wrong I had an excellent experience with it.  The buttons on it’s very easy to use and allows an easy way to carry it with you.  Im amazed by the fact that Mogo has allowed the creation of an version that allows you to have the portability that you need and have the features that you need. “

Right on Swedish Tech Report.  Stay tuned to see what else we come up with.  I promise you won’t be disappointed!

  • I Want My Flying Car

by Elizabeth Blair York | March 20th, 2008

Milner Motors Flying CarI can remember being told that “…in the year 2000, there will be flying cars!”

    Hey, it’s 2008.

    Where’s my flying car?

Seriously. I have spent about (roughly) a bazillion hours of my life either stuck in traffic or waiting for a plane to either load, taxi, land, or be something mysteriously called ‘de-iced’.

I know the best airports for WiFi, fish fry, souvenirs, tire exhibits, and a chilled cosmopolitan. (Grand Rapids, Boston/Logan, Paris/CDG, Detroit and the Ambassador’s Club in Raleigh, NC.)

I know from brutal experience the worst stretches of road for congestion. (94 coming out of Boston, Manhattan [all of it], 290 at 90/94 out of Chicago, 101 at the 405 in  L.A., The Bourne Bridge on a Saturday morning in the summer, the entire 85 in Atlanta, and all of Washington D.C. until you hit New Jersey.)

But all this knowledge could become happily useless if someone would just give me a flying car.

Well, check out what Milner Motors is up to!  It looks wonky, but do we really care? It’s a FLYING CAR.

Or, rather, it WILL be once they make it, uh, fly.

If you live in the New York area, you can check it out starting tomorrow (March 21) through the end of the month at the New York Auto Show.

And if you do - please take your laptop and MoGo mouse and tell us all about it!

  • crave @ CNET.com Digs the MoGo Mouse

by Tyler Knott Gregson | March 19th, 2008

Just stumbled on another site this fine morning that has a pretty cool little post suggesting that all those in need of a rockin’ mouse that don’t want to have to deal with the pesky issue of “power.”

You know how it goes with most normal travel mice, they might be tiny and they might fit in your messenger bag or laptop case or briefcase, but then what inevitably happens is that you run out of juice, most often at the worst time, and most often lead to you frantically searching for batteries.  Not cool.  As all of you know by now, the MoGo Mouse line, all store inside your computer so you do not lose them, and the best part…it charges there too.  That’s right, need some juice?  Plug it in for 20 min.

    Straight from their little article:

“Enter the ingenious MoGo Mouse BT, which operates wirelessly via Bluetooth and docks/recharges inside your notebook’s PC Card slot. How smart is that! Newegg.com has the MoGo Mouse BT for $29.99, plus $5.58 for shipping. That’s a pretty sweet deal, considering that most vendors sell it for around $70.”

Man, I couldn’t agree more.  Get over, Get one.  Now.  Please. :)

  • MoGo On The Web: New Fans!

by Tyler Knott Gregson | March 11th, 2008

Happy Tuesday friends, I don’t know if you care but today is an unreal day for New Releases when it comes to DVD’s so head down to your video store, pick up a copy of No Country for Old Men, and enjoy a movie night.  Now, to business…

You all know my thoughts and feelings on finding fans, so I’ll skip all the melodramatic stuff and just let you know, I found a new one with some kind words to say about the little ol’ MoGo MouseHere’s a clip of Barry, from “Far From A Shining Star…’s” affection:

“I have used various laptop mice over the past few years, but always had problems with a) knowing where they are (they hide a lot), b) batteries needing to be replaced at inopportune times, and c) just not being very cool. MoGo solves all three of those problems.”

I’m glad we could address all three of your issues and I couldn’t be happier you enjoy it!  Keep checking back with us Barry, you never can tell what we’re going to come out with next!

  • MoGo Mouse Love: jkOnTheRun Loves the MoGo!

by Tyler Knott Gregson | March 4th, 2008

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times, I LOVE finding people that LOVE finding the MoGo Mouse in their lives.  Nothing makes me happier, well I’m sure there are SOME things, than finding in my RSS Reader a post someone, somewhere did about loving their mouse.

That said, today is that day.  I just found a post over at jkOnTheRun.com in which they give their hands-on assessment of their testing of a neighbors that lead to them ordering their very own new MoGo Mouse.  Here is a brief snipped of their thoughts on it:

“It folds flat and stores in the PC Card slot for both transport and it charges the Bluetooth mouse while it’s in the slot.  I was quite surprised to find that it works so well and the owner couldn’t say enough good things about it.  I tried it for a bit and I must say it felt good in the hand and worked as well as I have heard.  Needless to say I now have one on the way and will show you how well it works when I have it.”

Anyhow, head over, get convinced and then head back and get your hands on your very own MoGo Mouse.  Trust me, you won’t be sorry.

  • Tim Ferriss Blogs About MoGo!

by Tyler Knott Gregson | March 3rd, 2008

I don’t know if you’ve read his book yet, and if you haven’t, do, now, but Timothy Ferriss is a hero of mine, and if we’re honest, a genius.  That said, he is the author of the book “The 4-Hour Workweek,” and it’s amazing.  I was just browsing his site, something I do daily to check for rad updates, and I just so happened to see that he just so happened to have met our very own Matt Westover earlier on “The Big Idea.”

Matt gave ol’ Tim some MoGo Mice to use in a give-away contest/promotion on his very own site, and it was awesome to see him using such an awesome new technology to get readers of his blog to answer a very simple, but very important question:  “What is technology?”  Basically if you just upload a video answering this question (no dictionary help folks!) and link him to it, the fastest and best will win a MoGo Mouse from Tim, via Matt and all the good people here at Newton Peripherals.  Very cool.

Head over, get some helpful breakfast tips in the same post, and read about the MoGo Contest Tim Ferriss is running right now.  Always good to see people with like minded goals getting together to really make some changes.  Keep rocking Tim, and if you ever wanna come hang out in Montana, let me know.

  • MoGo X54 Gets Positive Review…Obviously

by Tyler Knott Gregson | February 28th, 2008

I can’t tell you how much I love it when I find positive reviews of our beloved MoGo Mouse line anywhere online.  I don’t know what it is, but it seriously makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, like watching my kid that I don’t have sing well in his/her children’s Christmas concert they aren’t in.

Wow, that was a scary opening sentence; nevertheless, the fact remains, I just love finding people that are digging the mouse as much as I am.  I just found a review over VNuNet.com that had some pretty great things to say.  Here’s a snippit of their review:

“The X54 fits in the Expresscard slot on the side of the computer for charging and storage, and the stand pops out when the mouse is in use. It uses Bluetooth to connect to the computer - no other software is required but of course you’ll need a notebook with Bluetooth in order to use it…The auto-off switch saves on battery life, and you should be able to work for a day without charging it. This innovative mouse is a real space-saver, and it’s not overly expensive either. “

I agree Anthony.  I agree completely.  Head over, check out the review, then come back and get one for yourself!

  • Great Article: Meet Matt Westover

by Tyler Knott Gregson | December 31st, 2007

Wow how did I NOT see this gem before now?!  This gem I’m referring to, is an absolutely awesome article I Just found called “Meet Matt Westover - The Man Behind The MoGo Mouse.”  Basically the article does just that, it allows all of You, to meet Matt, who truly is the man behind the MoGo Mouse.

Head over and check it out, watch the embedded video they provided and learn a whole slew of info about not only Matt, but this great company in general.  The article sums it up pretty sweetly:

“The vision that Matt and the folks at Newton Peripherals had of a mouse that would fit into an available open slot on a notebook, connect without wires using Bluetooth technology and provide that ease of navigation on a screen that we were so used to getting on our desktops was a grand dream.  But dreams and their realizations are what makes us so unique and it was this dream that led to the growth and the ultimate success of the first MoGo Mouse.”

Mobility On The Go.  MoGo.  At any rate, thanks for a great article, keep enjoying the mouse!
